No matter your age, there is something for everyone looking for indoor and outdoor recreation in or close to Oneonta.

The Oneonta Parks and Recreation Department Damaschke Fieldoffers many youth and adult programs throughout the year.

For youngsters, there is Rotary Tee Ball, Kiwanis Baseball/Softball, PONY League Baseball, Swim Lessons, Tennis Program/lessons and a Playground Program. Annual events also include city tennis tournaments, a Meet the Oneonta Tigers clinic, and the annual Fishing Derby.

For adults, there are recreational leagues in softball, volleyball and dodge ball.

The city parks are wonderful places to take easy to moderate hikes, leisurely strolls, and scenic sites for picnics and gatherings. Wilber and Neahwa Park have excellent public swimming pools, tennis and basketball courts, and playground equipment.
