There is only one place for the best in ballet in Central New York. The Decker School of Ballet provides a fun and exciting way to learn the most beautiful of art forms.
Located on Main Street, the school offers classical ballet year round for children and adults of all ages. Classes are taught by highly skilled teachers who are eager to help students develop into the best dancers they can be. Learning the fundamentals of ballet, students will learn discipline, a good work ethic and confidence that is valuable throughout life.

Because ballet is a performing art, the Decker School of Ballet offers many opportunities for students to perform. The annual Spring recital features standard ballets, story ballets for younger students and original choreography by the studio staff.

The Decker School of Ballet offers four summer workshops for all age groups. These fun and exciting programs give students an opportunity to work with guest teachers and study other forms of dance. The schedule includes arts and crafts, make-up application, history of ballet and a lively studio performance at the end of each workshop.

The Fokine Ballet Company, also founded by Donna Decker, annually performs the Christmas classic, The Nutcracker, to capacity audiences. Miss Decker’s students are given an opportunity to dance with guest artists from ballet companies throughout the country.
